You’ve probably heard a lot about funding for broadband expansion coming from state and federal sources – well, it’s true. If Okanogan County wants to be part of upcoming grant opportunities, we need help from organizations like yours to take a quick survey – a few minutes of your time could mean a few million dollars for broadband expansion.
We are the Okanogan County and Colville Confederated Tribes Broadband Action Team (Ok Co CCT BAT) and we need your help gathering information about local broadband resources. We are a community-driven volunteer group identifying the connectivity and accessibility needs in Okanogan County. This work can only be accomplished with the help of a wide range of community stakeholders. We are contacting you as a community representative whose input is highly valuable to this process. If there is someone in your organization who is better equipped to participate in this effort, please forward this message along.
Please complete the Survey that matches your organization the best by April 28th, 2023.
Community Anchor Institution Survey: The Washington State Broadband Office has set the goal for all community anchor institutions to have access to 1/1Gbps services by 2028. This survey allows you to report your organization’s current services and helps create an inventory of the existing services. Community anchor institutions include organizations facilitating community-benefit services, including schools, libraries, health centers or medical providers, public safety or housing agencies, etc.

Local Infrastructure Asset Survey: This survey will help us collect information to identify what assets (infrastructure, staff) your organization already has in place that might help support local broadband infrastructure development efforts. (Right of way, conduit, GIS staff, telecom staff, grant writers, etc.)
Digital Equity/ Inventario Digital de Equidad de Activos/Bienes
Internet Service Provider Survey: This survey asks for information about the services and programs you currently have or plan to develop within Okanogan County, including infrastructure, low-income programs and service areas. There is also an opportunity to upload shape files or .kmzs of your service area if you want to have that represented on our local planning map.
This survey is brief (5-10 minutes), and the information will be utilized strictly for broadband planning purposes.
