Department of Health COVID-19 guidance documents:
- The Secretary of Health’s masking order (wa.gov) – Amended mask order allows for masks not to be worn outdoors, regardless of vaccination status and activity. However, masks are recommended among unvaccinated persons when at crowded outdoor events. Masks continue to be required for unvaccinated individuals when indoors in public spaces. Mask are also still required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, indoors in certain settings like K-12 schools and health care settings. - Guidance for Businesses and Organizations (Non-Health Care) (PDF) (wa.gov) – New guidance document providing general public health recommendations for businesses, organizations, and establishments. This document will replace most sector-specific guidance.
- Guidance for Sports and Fitness During COVID-19 (PDF) (wa.gov) – This document carries over some of the guidelines from the previous Governor’s sporting activity requirements.

- K-12 Schools 2021-2022 Requirements (PDF) (wa.gov) – This is a technical update to align with the amended Secretary’s mask order, L&I directives for workplaces, and Governor’s proclamation. A more comprehensive update is expected in the coming weeks pending the release of CDC guidance for K-12 schools.
- Child Care, Youth Development, and Day Camps During COVID-19 (PDF) (wa.gov) – This is a technical update to align with the amended Secretary’s mask order, L&I directives for workplaces, and Governor’s proclamation. A more comprehensive update is expected in the coming weeks.

- COVID-19 Coronavirus Announcement for Visitors (wa.gov) – Removed information about the Governor’s proclamation and visitation rules for unvaccinated residents.
- Supplemental Guidance for Long-Term Care Facility Visitors (wa.gov) – Updated to match new Safe Start guidance to allow for indoor visits.
- Outdoor Visitation Guidance for Long-term Care (LTC) Settings (wa.gov) – Updated to remove county phase references.
- What to do if you identify a COVID 19 case in your hospital (wa.gov) – This is new guidance for the hospital setting that provides a suggested framework for responding to COVID-19 in a hospital facility.
- What to do if you identify a COVID-19 case in your Long-term Care Facility (wa.gov) – This is new guidance for the long-term care setting that provides a suggested framework for responding to COVID-19 in a long-term care facility.
- L&I and DOH Respirator and PPE for In-Home Care Agencies: Employer responsibilities for respiratory protection program and provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) (wa.gov) – Updates to section #4 regarding fit-tested respirators.
